Hi there,
The past couple of months have seen a couple of updates to the Firefox browser, on both my Samsung tablet and phone. I have noticed that, as a result, the Firefox browser has become less stable than before. I have been using it for well over a decade without any problems. The primary website visited is ProFootballTalk, mostly the 'Rumor Mill' section of the website. The first page is fine. However, when I check additional pages, I begin to experience delays, followed by jumping around to the top or bottom of the new or previous page, and sometimes even going to older versions previously viewed.
Initially, I had thought that, maybe, it could be the website causing these problems. However, it was suggested to me to try a different browser. So I downloaded the 'DuckDuckGo' app, to check as a comparison. I have not been experiencing this issue with the new browser.

I'm on an older Macbook Pro with OS 10.12.6 My browser says it's up to date.
It seems that ever since I did a sync-up with another Macbook, glitches have appeared on this machine. One thing happening now is that some websites take forever to load in, and others won't load at all. With other sites there's no problem. I have a fiber optic connection. The speed test indicates that all is good. I did reboot recently.
I'm wondering if some sites are using advanced scripts that my older machine doesn't like, or perhaps recent updates from Firefox just don't work as well on this machine. Any suggestions??

I am using 64bit Windows 11 Home. This happened suddenly without any changes on my part that I know of.
Thunderbird suddenly started freezeing right after startup. The only thing I can do is login with the master password then the regular thunderbird screen opens, but I cannot click on anything. Soon after the screen is greyed out. However I can close the program down with the red "x" in the top right corner. It opens a dialog that gives me the opens to close down or wait to respond. The close option works.
The only hint I can see from the frozen screen is that the local Folder seems to have a problem as a subfolder has now multiple copies of itself. It seems to create a new copy of that subfolder every time I try to start the program.
So far I tried reinstalling/updating TB, as I assumed an update had maybe malfunctioned, (it was stuck on version 128, since I could not open TB for about a week now) but upgrading to to version 138 did not help. I also tried starting TB in troubleshoot mode, which made no difference I also tried starting TB while windows was in safe mode, which made no difference.
I read around but people that have problems with TB freezing seem to not have the freeze happen before they can do anything.
I assume something is wrong in my profile, maybe the local folder? But I have no idea to fix anything, since I cannot do anything at all in TB.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Firefox updated this morning on my desktop (not this device) and still mid-afternoon my tabs are taking minutes to load and the LastPass extension is still grayed out, i.e. inoperable. This happens to some extent EVERY TIME IT UPDATES but this is the worst. Went out for a long lunch and still nothing works. I have things to do and have no browser! Windows 11 Home fully updated Dell Inspiron 3670 i5-8400. I’m *this close* to moving to an alternate browser but really like Mozilla and don’t want to. What can I do to fix this when it happens? I used to run Windows Update troubleshooter and it worked a lot of the time (no idea why) but it’s gone.

I am getting this screen effect when I start trying to play.
Since posting this, I noticed that the dulling effect starts when I click on the screen, and if I then double-click the brightness reverts to normal! So I tried with a wired mouse to see if that was the problem, but no difference so I can rule out the mouse. I'm starting to suspect a browser hijacker or some malware. Only getting the effect on this computer, with only this Firefox browser. My main PC is working normally in the same programme. Very weird.

Thunderbird has become a pain now for a number of months- regardless of any updates. On first start up if I click on anything on Thunderbird before ALL email accounts have completely finished downloading, Thunderbird locks up and displays not responding on the top of the screen. I have to wait ten minutes and longer before I can start reading a email until every email on every email account has finished downloading. When a site says it is sending a verification email - before I can see that email when I start Thunderbird - the verification email needs to be resent because it has run out of time. This never happened a year ago - now it is daily! I don't know what Mozilla is doing to Thunderbird but it is now highly unreliable! If it was not the only free email client software I would have dumped it by now. Why is it doing this?

Often when I start Firefox, instead of downloading the webpage, the pendulum starts moving to and fro while it starts slowly using the memory of my laptop (7.7 GB), until, after a quarter of an hour or more of more, it uses up about 95% of it (I've followed the process on the Task Manager), and then it finally downloads the page, by which time the computer is quite sluggish, and occasionally the laptop is unresponsive, making me switch it off and reboot it. When it doesn't download the page right away I've learned to turn it off, sometimes from the Task Manager, and try again. Then sometimes, somehow, it works OK, I still haven't found out exactly how to do this. Then, once it starts working, to avoid the problem I do not turn it off, and Firefox remains OK as long as I do not reboot the laptop, which I seldom have to do. Does anybody else has this problem? Any ideas?

I am using XAMPP and have set up virtual hosts, for local development. Since I've updated Firefox to 139.0.1 I have not been able to access my local website using the URL http://mysite.dev. Firefox is forcing me to use the URL https://mysite.dev.
I type http://mysite.dev and press enter and Firefox changes what I typed to https://mysite.dev
I have tried creating a certificate exception for mysite.dev but rather then showing my local website, Firefox ends up showing the default XAMPP dashboard as if I typed localhost as the URL.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks in advance..

After every update, Firefox starts to a blank screen and will not start loading the webpage url put in for over twenty minutes to a half hour. During this time other browsers on my Win 10 PC load immediately so it is not a network issue. It is Firefox. When I see that an update is pending I hesitate to do the update because I know I will lose the use of Firefox until it is ready to respond. It just hangs with "loading X.com" showing at the bottom left of the blank screen. I have been using Firefox for a long time and in the past year or longer it has become very unreliable. There are also instances where without an update it will do this and the only way I can get it to work is to clear the cache and the history through settings. What is going on with Firefox! (And lately there is an update every couple fo days!

I have Firefox 139.0.1
This was working this morning but stopped in the afternoon. I use Duck Duck Go but I also tried switching to Google browser but got nowhere. Firefox loads everything else just fine. But no Google related sites.
I have deleted history, cache, cookies. Restarted the Mac. Closed and reopened Firefox. Again, all other sites accessed, just not anything related to Google.
I can see gmail on Firefox focus on my Ipad that is on the same internet connection as the Mac. This is really annoying.

Hello. I have noticed the following problem with your browser: at some point, if you have several resource-consuming tabs open (this is a subjective assessment, I have not tested it), almost all the buttons in the browser stop working, namely the tab close button, the extension button, etc., but you can still close them using hotkeys. This problem goes away when you restart the browser.
I should say that this problem appeared not so long ago, about 1-2 weeks ago, when I updated Fedora 40 --> Fedora 42.
Please tell me where the problem might be.

After installing a Firefox updated on Tuesday, I've been having multiple issues. The first issue I ran into was being unable to log into a work account that I have been using daily for 2 years. I was able to fix that issue by disabling the Enhanced Tracking Protection for that specific page. I tried that same fix for my other issue, but it is not correcting it.
I use a program called signNow to upload documents and send to people to sign/countersign. Since this update, it's not working on Firefox. I tried it on Edge and it works fine. When I upload a document, it's just blank. No text, pictures or anything at all. See attached screenshot. I've tried several documents and none have worked, but all of them have worked in Edge. How do I fix this so I can continue to use Firefox?

Hi, I've encountered a problem where if any error occurs when you try to create a new calendar event (I.e. Thunderbird cannot connect to the CalDav server), it will give you an error pop-up and discard everything you have input.
Losing work like this is extremely annoying and I think what should happen when an error occurs is that Thunderbird would go back to the event creation popup, preserving everything that was input into it, and let you try to create the event again (perhaps save it into a different calendar).
I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask about this but it was the most easily accessible place I could find.
This happened in Thunderbird desktop version 138.
